What Early Access means here
This is a staged release of an unfinished game, and Panache is self-publishing after Xbox funding fell through — so Early Access is partly how the studio funds finishing it. Expect the launch build to be a portion of the intended game, with content added over time.
Two things are commonly assumed and neither is confirmed: how long Early Access runs, and when 1.0 arrives. Panache has not stated either. If you see a confident "full release in 2027", that is an inference someone made from the Early Access window, not something the studio said.
What it costs
As of the day before launch, the Steam listing carried no published price. That is not unusual for an Early Access title that sets pricing at the moment the store page flips live, but it does mean anyone quoting a specific figure before August 25 is guessing.
The Prologue is free, on both Steam and Epic, and it stays free. It is a separate app entry, not a trial of the paid build.
Before you buy
- Check the specs first. Hardware ray tracing is mandatory with no software fallback — this rules out a lot of otherwise capable machines.
- Check the platform. PC only. Console versions are confirmed as a plan with no date attached.
- Play the free Prologue. Half an hour tells you whether the pace and tone work for you, and whether your GPU copes.
